The Guadeloupe Region is a partner of the FORWARD H2020 project among the 24 partners from nine European outermost regions: Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Saint-Martin, Réunion, Mayotte, Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira.
The objective of this project is to increase the visibility and recognition of the research and innovation capacities and initiatives developed in the nine outermost regions (ORs).
The FORWARD consortium has defined eight fundamental work themes: health, social sciences, earth and space, ICT, climate change and energy transition, agriculture, biodiversity and marine sciences.

FORWARD funds training programs, mutual learning, networking activities and mobility. It also aims to bring research closer to political decision-makers in order to recognize the singularities of the ORs.
The ORs play a strategic role for a Europe of knowledge. FORWARD contributes to optimizing the research and innovation ecosystems of the ORs, developing distinctive expertise and connecting to international networks.

The end of project FORWARD will be in June 2022. In order to be able to present the results and impacts of the work provided during the last three years of the project, we would like to have the opportunity to associate ourselves with the organization of the European Green Week 2022.
The outermost regions are emblematic territories of European biodiversity. The outermost regions have unique potential and specific assets that can benefit the whole EU. They ensure a European presence in strategic areas of the world and have exceptional characteristics which make them excellent laboratories for research and innovation in the fields of biodiversity, terrestrial and marine ecosystems, renewable energies, pharmacology and space science. The FORWARD project aims to promote research and innovation in these territories for better European visibility.
This would be a great opportunity for our projects and partners to communicate our results and have an interesting impact.
