Climate Communications NGO Summit
Partnering with NGOs who are committed to sustainable development, we are hosting a series of three civil society training sessions in Brussels, Paris and Madrid during the Green Week. The Summits will provide recommendations and training on how to use digital technologies and social media to communicate and encourage action on sustainability.
The session is for both beginners and experts. The training will include learnings on how NGOs can grow their online community, recruit new supporters or volunteers, leverage Meta's Charitable Giving Tools and increase awareness of their cause, and will include a dedicated Q&A session. Followed by an optional metaverse demonstration for those who would like to join in person. You can find the agenda and more information below.
For more information on the agenda and to register for the Brussels session see here.
You can also register for the Madrid session here and the Paris session here.

Guide to Green
SMEs are the backbone of the European economy and one of the most important actors in Europe's transition towards a more sustainable future. It's important to ensure they are well informed and properly supported in their journeys towards running their businesses sustainably. The Guide to Green [16] is Meta's European programme in collaboration with SME Climate Hub and partners throughout Europe, which includes a number of trainings and resources to help SMEs grow their business sustainably.
Further national trainings will follow across Europe and will be rolled out in 10 EU member states by the end of 2022
- these have already taken place in France and Italy this year so far, with Germany and Portugal, plus more to come.
The Green Week edition of Guide to Green will include European SME case studies from Slovenia (Treecelet) and Italy (Green Energy Service), training sessions, and discussions with EU experts such as the European Sustainable Business Federation and eFuture, a German mobility SME, and the European Commission. Meta Vice President for EMEA Angie Gifford will also share our vision on adapting business practices sustainably and introduce the Guide to Green Programme with the SME Climate Hub, a global initiative that empowers SMEs to take climate action and build resiliency for the future.
