EU Green Week - Closing session - From hope to action

With the participation of  Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries

The session recording:

In the face of major climate and environmental challenges, the EU Green Deal provides a holistic approach. One that puts in place the right policies - systemic solutions with credible roadmaps to set our economies on a more sustainable path. As well as reinforcing European autonomy, including in energy, resources and innovation, it is an expression of our values and fundamental freedoms, including the right to a healthy and clean environment.

But importantly, the Green Deal also ensures that policy translates into action. It sparks individual initiative and motivation, it is promotes collective engagement of citizens and businesses and it sustains courageous leadership. The Green Deal empowers people to pursue a shared vision for change, coordinate their activities, and foster personal commitment to collective success. Taking action brings hope and can inspire others through the power of example.

The Green Week closing session will explore ways of spreading this message of hope, through action and inspiration.
