Under the European Green Deal, the EU biodiversity strategy for 2030 commits to planting at least 3 billion additional trees in the EU by 2030 in full respect of ecological principles. In December 2021, the MapMyTree counter was launched for organisations to report their trees as part of the pledge and will now open for individuals.

Description
This high-level event with EU Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius will see the LIVE launch of the new MapMyTree counter, allowing individuals to register the additional trees they plant as part of the 3 Billion Trees Pledge. The launch of the new application will be followed by a debate on sustainable tree-planting with youth representatives and experts in the field.
