Save the date! Webinar - Why should public procurers choose EU Ecolabel certified products? (live from the European Commission TV Studio)

Approximately 14% of the EU’s GDP is spent by public procurers on goods, services and works, giving Green Public Procurement (GPP) significant potential to advance the EU’s sustainability goals. By integrating environmental considerations into procurement decisions, the public sector can stimulate job creation, economic growth and investment, while also driving green innovation, enhancing resource and energy efficiency, and supporting the transition to a circular economy.

But how to make greener procurement a reality across Europe?

With over 100,000 certified products available on the EU market, the EU Ecolabel simplifies green procurement by providing reliable, science-based solutions that streamline procurement processes and support environmental objectives.

What to expect from the live event?

  • Insights from the European Commission on the policy context for public procurement and role of the EU Ecolabel.
  • Panel discussion with policymakers and procurement experts on enabling greener tenders.
  • Successful case-stories from public authorities and businesses using the EU Ecolabel.
  • A hands-on session on integrating EU Ecolabel criteria into tender documents.

This event is co-organised by Ecolabelling Sweden, the European Environmental Bureau (EEB), the French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME), and the European Commission.
