Nature-based solutions are effective at mitigating flooding, but methods of assessing their efficacy are limited, particularly when accounting for future climate scenarios. This study presents a model to better quantify the effectiveness of flood mitigations and help policy decision-making.

Designing tools to predict coastal flooding three days in advance

Predictive tools are needed to help coastal communities prepare for storm impacts. This study presents a system designed to provide three days warning of coastal flooding, tested at three beaches in Barcelona. The method is adaptable and effective at helping decision-makers prepare for flood events.
