RUSLAN STRILETS Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine born on June 30, 1984 in the city of Dnipro. Ruslan Strilets was appointed Minister on April 14, 2022.
Prior to that, since November 2021 he has been acting Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
Priority areas of work is the fastest possible adaptation of the environment sector to wartime conditions, acceleration of European integration reforms, Ukraine's accession to EU programs, including LIFE and Copernicus, and the introduction of effective tools to support Ukraine's economy in the war and postwar periods.
Previously, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitization (CDTO). Ruslan Strilets has started large-scale digitalization of the country's environmental protection sphere.
In May 2021, the EcoSystem environmental platform was launched in test mode. It contains all environmental information on the state of Ukraine's environment and is designed to ensure effective electronic interaction between the state, business and community in order to obtain administrative services in the field of environmental protection.
Ruslan Strilets, as Deputy Minister, also took care of reforming the field of waste management, reducing industrial pollution and chemical safety.
