The EU Ecolabel is the official EU label for environmental excellence awarded to products (goods and services) with a reduced environmental impact. Any business selling products in the European Economic Area (EEA) can apply for the EU Ecolabel, provided those products meet the criteria throughout their entire life cycle, from production to disposal. 

The EU Ecolabel offers the best EU-level trusted environmental certification a business can have. The criteria are co-developed by the European Commission and Member States, in consultation with industry and consumer/environmental organisations. Many businesses stand out in the market thanks to the EU Ecolabel, and consumers, buyers and investors are increasingly looking for more sustainable products.
