Do you work in the data and emerging ICT sectors? Do you want to develop and invest in solutions that create value for the circular economy, biodiversity, zero pollution or climate adaptation?

Then sign up below for our information Webinar on 6 March 2024 and request to take the virtual floor for a short pitch if you’re looking for partnerships.

For more info, check out our call for proposals (page 10) under the Digital Europe Programme for the deployment of the Green Deal Data Space. A call summary can be found here.

Thinking about submitting a proposal?

To serve as inspiration, we've provided three use-cases of interest. You can use these as possible starting points or come up with entirely new ideas. You decide!

Use-case 1 aims to leverage DPP capacities/data in order to create value for the circular economy and sustainability. One area of interest is textiles and how a data space could bring data closer together with material loops for brands, manufacturers, waste managers and policy makers. The call is open to ideas from other value chains as well.

Use-case 2 is in the area of environmental and sustainability due diligence and reporting. The idea is to support private operators with solutions in their journey to collect, verify and share “data-points” across their value chains to calculate scope 3 GHG emissions, deforestation caused by commodities, biodiversity impact and water use, among other things.

Use-case 3 concerns Forest Monitoring and Confidentiality Preserving Technologies. The scope is to train ML learning models that calculate Forest indicators from Earth observation using in-situ data (National Forest Inventories) as training datasets without compromising their confidentiality features. Similar use-cases for ML training with other environmental datasets deemed confidential are also possible.
