7 June 2023: The 2023 LIFE Award for Nature goes to the LIFE Luchs Pfälzerwald project on the reintroduction of Eurasian lynxes in the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve. The project established a thriving population of lynx in southwest Germany, three centuries after they disappeared from the area. The 2023 LIFE Award winners were selected from hundreds of LIFE projects across the EU supporting the European Green Deal.
