Description

According to the most recent data provided by the European Environment Agency, around 240 000 people died prematurely due to exposure of fine particulate matter above the World Health Organization guideline levels in the EU in the year 2020. This marks a steady decrease since the year 2005, and shows that clean air policies deliver successes.
On 26 October 2022, the Commission proposed a revision of the EU Ambient Air Quality Directives to align the air quality standards more closely with the latest recommendations of the World Health Organization.
Further information on the agenda, speakers and registration will follow.
