Information session on ‘one substance, one assessment’ for stakeholders and citizens

The information session of 1 June 2022 was recorded and can be viewed via this link.

The information session explained the objective and vision for the ‘one substance, one assessment’ approach and provided updates on its implementation.

The Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability sets the objective to move towards ‘one substance, one assessment’ approach by improving efficiency, effectiveness, coherence and transparency of the delivery of safety assessments of chemicals across all relevant legislation.

In line with the commitment of the strategy and in consultation with all relevant Commission Services, DG Environment set up an Expert Working Group of Members States, EU Agencies and Commission Services on One Substance, One assessment to support the implementation of this objective.
