The regional workshop took place as a side event of the Salern Livestock Protection Days. The purpose of the workshop was to bring together member of the EU Platform on Coexistence between People and Large Carnivores, Regional Large Carnivore Platform members and a range of interest groups in South Tyrol. The group discussed how large carnivore platforms worked in different contexts in order to scope whether such an approach could be of interest in the South Tyrolian context. The regional workshop examined examples of livestock protection in different geographical, climatic and agricultural contexts and discussed what lessons can be drawn from them.
