Description
Background
Through the EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and NextGeneration EU, the EU provides a range of funding and financing programmes to assist project promoters, national authorities, and other stakeholders to implement environmental projects. Each fund / financing programme presents different opportunities and specific requirements for stakeholders to obtain desired funding. These opportunities and programmes have been identified and included in a Vademecum (Find you EU funding programme for environment: Supporting the environment under the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework and NextGenerationEU) with the goal of increasing the understanding and the capacity to access relevant EU funding and financing.
This conference is one of a series of conferences organised in the Member States aiming:
- To broaden the dissemination of the Vademecum and facilitate its use within the specific Member State context.
- To deliver to the stakeholders concise and targeted information about EU funding and financing opportunities with reference to the Vademecum, and to familiarise them with the different options for technical assistance for the design and implementation of environmental projects related to the theme of the conference or the specific Member State context.
- To address some of the most frequent challenges encountered by the project promoters when trying to identify and access the relevant EU funds for projects with direct contribution or mainstreaming elements for the environment.
