Chemicals strategy: high-level roundtable discusses progress and joint report on enforcement and compliance

Today, the high-level roundtable on the implementation of the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability is meeting for the second time since it was established. Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Virginijus Sinkevičius will speak about what has been achieved since the Chemicals Strategy was established a year ago. The meeting will further focus on compliance and enforcement of chemicals legislation, which is one of the important action areas of the Strategy. At the meeting, the members of the Roundtable - consisting of stakeholders from industry, civil society, academia, international organisations and the Member State holding the EU Presidency - will present a joint report and recommendations for adoption. Several members will also present how they fulfilled their role as ambassadors for the chemicals strategy. This document as well as the meeting agenda and background papers are available in the register for expert groups.

Follow the discussions from 14h30 via webstream.
