EU Ecolabel to be a Key Player in European Commission Initiatives

The EC has proposed new initiatives that align with the EU Ecolabel standard of environmental excellence.

The European Commission has proposed new initiatives including new consumer rights and a ban on greenwashing, in order to support the transition towards a Circular Economy. In line with the EU Green Deal,  sustainable products are to become the norm and Europe’s resource independence is boosted!

Amended Consumer Rights and Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, as well as the proposed Sustainable Products Initiative and the Communication on a EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles are all contributing to the European Commission's broader goal of becoming the first climate neutral continent by 2050.

These initiatives align with the EU Ecolabel standard of environmental excellence ensuring durability, recyclability and circularity for the concerned products, and empower consumers for the green transition. Responsibly sourced goods and services can rely on the EU Ecolabel to boost their uptake on the EU Market. With the EU Ecolabel, certified products are certified trustworthy!
