Study on unintentional release of microplastics: register for first stakeholder workshop

The European Commission (DG Environment) has commissioned a study entitled ‘Cost-benefit analysis of policy measures reducing unintentional releases of microplastics’. The study aims to identify policy options that could reduce unintentional releases of microplastics in the environment. The study will support the Commission's work on a possible legislative initiative in the field.

Communication and engagement activities will both gather available information for the study and allow stakeholders to provide valuable input.

Register here as a stakeholder for this study to stay informed of all activities. Please note a first stakeholder workshop will take place virtually on 16 September 2021. A second stakeholder workshop will take place virtually on 22 November 2021 (synthetic textiles), 24 November 2021 (tyre abrasion) and 25 November 2021 (plastic pellets).
