Did you know that nature holds many solutions to the water-related challenges facing us today? This crash course examines how nature-based solutions are increasingly being used to tackle floods, droughts, and water scarcity.

Methods like wetland restoration, reforestation and permeable pavements are just some of the innovative techniques increasingly being used across the EU. As well as increasing water resilience, nature-based solutions can also boost biodiversity. Countries like Germany, Spain and Belgium are investing heavily in nature-based solutions, while the EU has allocated over €600 million to 76 projects across 71 countries.

Promoting nature-based solutions can bring significant environmental, social, and economic returns on these investments.
