With a population of almost 94,000 inhabitants, Treviso is a vibrant city, now recognised as sustainable example among small European cities. Treviso showed a powerful commitment in terms of communication and storytelling.
Treviso is an active of the Covenant of Mayors and a Green City Accord signatory. Treviso impressed the jury with their powerful commitment to embrace change, and their variety of innovative approaches but also their commitment from all of their citizens, of all generations.
They also showed impressive skills of pushing boundaries in terms of sustainability as well as various ambitions and measures proposed by the city, by doubling the number of trees for example.
