Products included in the EU Ecolabel coverings group comprise high-quality floor, roof, tiles, vertical surfaces and other covering products for private and professional use with a reduced environmental impact and low health risks for consumers and workers.
The EU Ecolabel for hard covering products includes certified eco-friendly and sustainable alternative products to conventional hard covering products such as tiles, slabs, panels, vanity tops and kitchen worktops.
The EU Ecolabel guarantees that these hard covering products comply with strict criteria for reduced impacts caused by quarrying of raw materials, limited emissions of pollutants, and the restricted use of hazardous substances. Manufacturers are also encouraged to use renewable energy and to reuse/recycle their production waste.

The EU Ecolabel product group for wood-, cork- and bamboo-based floor coverings encompasses indoor floor coverings without any synthetic fibres for both private and professional use including wood, laminate, cork and bamboo-based floorings.
EU Ecolabel products within this group are guaranteed to comply with strict limitations on emissions and raw material is sourced from sustainably managed forests. The floors are easy to repair and can be dismantled quickly for reuse or recycling of the materials.
