In Focus
Invasive alien species (IAS) have arrived, and they are disrupting delicate ecosystems throughout Europe. The EU started combatting them in 2015 and currently 88 species - 41 plants and 47 animals - are listed as IAS of EU concern.
The European Alien Species Information Network (EASIN) - an online platform of information on IAS to help implement EU policy – has also become key.
You can monitor IAS in your region by downloading the Invasive Alien Species Europe App or use the Species Search and Mapping tool to search our database of alien species in Europe.
And don’t miss our latest episode of ‘The Road to Green’ on IAS.
